Talk Abstract:
Drs. Hsu and Cheng have many years of clinical experience in Western medicine. After delving into Chinese traditional medicine, energy medicine, various alternative therapies, meditation, they saw a larger field of medicine – “mindfulness medicine.” As an individual grows, the mind, through the operation of the brain, gradually alters the originally balanced and stable state of the body. This leads to changes in the function and structure of the organs and the appearance of clinical symptoms that form what we call “disease.” By identifying and addressing the underlying causes of the disease, we can alleviate and cure it in a timely manner.

Buddhist scriptures often remark that all arises from the mind. The Avatamsaka Sutra (Huayan jing 華嚴經) says: “Mind, just like the master painter, can paint all the different worlds. The five aggregates (skandha) are born from it; there is nothing it does not create.” Our mind is capable of doing everything. Use it right and it can heal you. Use it wrong and it can cause disease. In this talk, they will demonstrate the amazing healing power of the mind and share lots of cases that Western medicine has struggled with but that have been successfully cured.
